Amazon launched two AI devices from its Bee unit on Thursday, October 15, 2026: the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse. Amazon announced them in an official post, and CNBC and Bloomberg covered the launch.

Both devices listen to your conversations, then turn them into summaries and to-do lists.

The numbers

  • Bee Frontier: $74.99, on sale now.
  • Bee Eclipse: $99.99, listed as coming soon.
  • Bee Pro: $11.99 a month.

CNBC and Quartz round these to $75, $100 and $12.

What you get

The Frontier is a wearable. You can wear it on your wrist or clip it to clothing. Amazon lists IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery, USB-C charging and dual microphones.

The Eclipse is the size of a credit card and snaps onto the back of a phone with a magnet. Amazon says its battery lasts more than 21 days.

The Frontier costs about $25 more than the original $50 Bee wristband, according to CNBC and Quartz.

Why it matters

An Echo speaker waits for a wake word, which is a phrase like "Alexa" that tells it to start listening. Bee devices are different. CNBC notes that when switched on, they record all the time. That is how they can summarise your day.

Imagine you chat with a colleague about a deadline. Later, Bee gives you a short to-do list. Handy, but it also means the device hears everything around you.

Bee Pro adds Alexa+ and Amazon.com connections, so you can ask Alexa for your summaries or use Bee for personalised shopping.

Privacy and background

Amazon says audio is processed in real time and then deleted. It says transcripts are encrypted with keys your device creates and controls. You can delete transcripts and summaries at any time. A single press turns the device on or off, and an LED shows when it is on.

Amazon bought Bee in July 2025. This is the first update to the lineup since then, per CNBC.

Limits

Sources disagree on details. Tech Insider lists Frontier colors as black, green and lavender. Amazon lists Onyx, Lavender and Sage. Unite.AI reports black, lilac and moss. Unite.AI also reports a $99.99 annual Bee Pro plan that other sources do not mention. Amazon gave no Eclipse release date, and the privacy claims come from Amazon itself.
