OpenAI showcased Astra-powered projects in a new video
The team highlighted how Astra assists developers in moving from concept to implementation.
In a September 28 video, OpenAI’s Developer Experience team demonstrated how the GPT-6 Astra model helped them create several tools.
One demo showed a YouTube thumbnail generator that produces custom images from a short text prompt.
Another example was a visual-learning assistant that turns diagrams into step-by-step explanations.
The team also built a music-workflow script that arranges melodies based on user-provided chords.
A hardware prototype and a tactical role-playing game were assembled to illustrate Astra’s ability to guide both code and design decisions. Imagine asking Astra to design a game level and getting a ready-to-play map in seconds.
The video does not disclose Astra’s performance on large-scale production tasks, nor does it show how it handles ambiguous or contradictory prompts.
