Google launched a new image creation and editing tool called Google Pics
The service integrates directly into Google Workspace to allow users to generate and refine graphics without leaving their active documents.

Google released Google Pics, an artificial intelligence tool designed for creating and modifying images directly within Google Workspace applications. Users can generate custom graphics using text prompts and refine existing designs through a suite of integrated editing capabilities.
The tool features object segmentation, which allows users to isolate specific parts of an image for transformation without affecting the background. It also enables users to edit or translate text directly within an image while preserving the original design and font styles. Multiple design options are generated for each prompt to provide users with choices.
Integration with Google Slides, Docs, and Drive allows teams to collaborate on the same images in real time without switching applications. The service is built on the Nano Banana image generation model and is currently rolling out to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, as well as many business customers.
The software is not yet available to all users, as it is limited to specific subscription tiers during its initial rollout. The integration with Google Drive will follow in the coming weeks.
